United Nations Human Rights Council

The United Nations Human Rights Council is a United Nations body whose mission is to promote and protect human rights around the world. The UNHRC has 47 members elected for staggered three-year terms on a regional group basis. The headquarters of UNHRC is in Geneva, Switzerland.

United Nations First General Assembly (Disarmament and International Security Committee)

GA1 or DISEC or C1 is the first of 6 general assembly committees. As the name suggests, they talk mostly about worldwide peace and security and any moral and legal issues surrounding any type of artillery. Their main headquarters is located in New York.  All 193 member states of the UN can attend. It is the only Main Committee of the General Assembly entitled to verbatim records.

Untied Nations Economic and Social Council 

The Economic and Social Council is a council that focuses mostly on problems in the economic and social sectors of life and discusses any and all topics that relate to this jurisdiction. Their main headquarters are in New York. Most of their agendas are fitted to be in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable goals. Alongside hosting 57 UN member nations which are rotatory, they host about more than 1600 non-governmental organisations which have full legal rights to take part in it.

United Nations Security Council

The United Nations Security Council is one of the first organisations made after World War II to look over the failures of the League of Nations. Its powers include establishing peacekeeping operations, enabling international sanctions and authorising military action.

This committee consists of 15 countries, 10 of which are rotatory and 5 of which are permanent (known as the P5 nations).

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is responsible for coordinating the UN's environmental activities and assisting developing countries in having environmentally sound policies and practices to put the SDG goals into practice. Founded in 1972 by Canadian philanthropist Maurice Strong, UNEP aims to combat all forms of environmental issues.

PCC consists of the countries presidents debating over worldwide issues in the perspective of the president of the countries they represent. They mainly focus on International Peace and Security. The committee comprises of heads of countries working together to solve all sorts of issues while sticking to their policies and foreign affairs.
